William J. Roess

Founder + Principal

Will is a Senior-level management and corporate development professional with 40+ years of strategic/development planning, finance, marketing, HR and change management consulting experience in various industries. His background includes project/ program leadership and relationship development relative to multi-national clients with administrative control at all levels.

His career is broadened by significant experience in operations, finance and development. Will’s skills have been critical in managing startup, turnaround and established operations to unprecedented growth and profitability. His substantial accomplishments include strategic planning, project control and relationship building for clients globally. Primary strengths include organizational restructuring for operating and market efficiency associated with major programs or projects. He is proficient in assembling and directing dynamic teams, developing long-term relationships and accomplishing goals with skilled communication.
Will’s work history encompasses significant accomplishments across various industries: revenue growth and performance optimization; leadership and change management; business administration; EOS® integration; executive team leadership; and global market penetration.


A graduate of DePauw University and a Rector Scholar, Will began his business career with Winters National Bank (now JP Morgan Chase) in 1979. Most recently, he served as President of Technical Assurance, Inc., a unique firm based in the Midwest serving clients throughout the United States providing facilities consulting, engineering and project management services ranging from forensic engineering services to the development of multi-year comprehensive capital maintenance and replacement programs. Before Technical Assurance, he served as HOK Group, Inc. Senior Vice President – Director of Operations for the HOK Planning Group following his role as Vice President of Corporate Development for Shook National Corp. and Co-President of Inventing Flight, the premier national celebration for the centennial of flight headquartered in Dayton, Ohio.
 
Prior to that, Will was Corporate Development Manager for Kajima International, Inc., a large, multi-national development and construction company. He also served as the Chief Operating Officer of HOK/K Industrial, Inc., an HOK- Kajima Joint subsidiary. His experience also has included participation on the faculty of the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin, teaching “Environmental Due Diligence” to Bank management/leadership.  In conjunction with the advent of this program and in collaboration with Deloitte & Touche (now Deloitte), Will spearheaded the development of a de novo environmental audit program.  The program was eventually used in tandem with field auditing for financial review as a supplemental tool for asset/risk assessment.
 
Much of the work spearheaded by Will serves as the basis for many corporate, institutional and community programs relative to planning, development and sustainability, in the United States and around the world.
